lyrics

I've found out where I stand
And I've seen what lies ahead
The bite of the pieces that don't seem to fit
I don't remember dreaming this
Well my days seem to never end
And my time always stands still
I've given up on finding out
And I'm wishful to darken the doorway
Of a light from a future that I'm proud to call home
But a spectre of doubt hangs over my head
I don't remember dreaming this

Viewed from the science behind this belief
Well the here and the now are not all that they seem
Time is called now on
The shadows cast to hide the fact my life's become a number
And I feel like letting go

So what if my future has slipped through my hands
It was never mine anyway
And yet all I can do is but pass on the burden
Like a sentence to those in my wake
Well these days seem to never end
And this time always stands still
I've given up on finding out
But have courage they say
Because there is a beauty in the strength that is require to remain
But my pugilistic rage can only echo again that
"I don't remember dreaming this!"

Viewed from the science behind this belief
Well the here and the now are not all that they seem
Time is called now on
The shadows cast to hide the fact my life's become a number
And I feel like letting go

I'm decaying behind a desk
In a life I never chose
No it never really made me happy
Can I change?
Too late
Is it high time for rescuing?
I'll be dead by five o'clock

about

Black Market Serotonin Manchester, UK

Black Market Serotonin is a 3-piece Manchester-based rock band. Combining smatterings of prog and some cerebral pop elements whilst coming from varying musical backgrounds, but with a shared artistic and philosophical vision, the band came together to produce walls of noise and synth-laden soundscapes fuelled by a passion for music and a frustration at the 21st Century's measures of happiness. ... more
